Can you develop broken capillaries while pregnant?
I am currently 6 months pregnant and I am beginning to develop some spider veins or broken capillaries on my inner thighs. I have gained about 20 lbs during my pregnancy and am wondering if this has something to do with this. What can I do to prevent any more broken capillaries?
There could be a few reasons why you have developed broken capillaries.
Pregnant women, women passing through menopausal stage, and children going through puberty may develop spider veins as their bodies try to adjust to changes in hormone levels. Also, as we age, there are changes in the collagen of both the skin and the small capillaries, which may cause them to weaken and become more visible.
